GRACE LUTHERAN CHURCH Rogue River Valley Branch 8457 recently received a Superior rating - the highest rating given - from the Lutheran Brotherhood to recognize the branch for its community service activities in 2000. Local branch officers are Gail Bronken of Ashland, President, and Betty and James Matteson of Talent, Publicity Officers. Grace Lutheran School of Ashland recently received $775 from Lutheran Brotherhood through the society's Member Matching Gift program. This amount matches eight gifts from Lutheran Brotherhood members made during the second quarter of 2001. Lutheran Brotherhood matches dollar-for-dollar gifts of $25-100 made by eligible members to Lutheran schools and outdoor ministries enrolled in the Member Matching Gift program. The schools and outdoor ministries use the matching funds for a variety of purposes, including projects that benefit the people at the institution, as well as endowments for teh institution. Grace Lutheran School will use the matching funds recently received for curriculum and supplies. All are welcome to attend the 10 a.m. worship service Sunday.
