Friday, 2:42 p.m. — A man reported a fraud in which someone filed a false tax return in his name in the 1400 block of Oregon Street. Friday, 6:13 p.m. — Downed power lines were reported in the 400 block of Lithia Way. Police investigated whether the damage to city of Ashland property was accidental or intentional. Friday, 7:53 p.m. — A 38-year-old man was arrested on charges of menacing, second-degree trespassing and stalking in the 200 block of North Laurel Street. Saturday, 1:44 a.m. — A 47-year-old man was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and assault following an incident at O'Ryan's Irish Pub in the 100 block of East Main Street. Saturday, 2:45 a.m. — Two male juveniles were arrested on a charge of second-degree trespassing in the 400 block of Lori Lane. They were also cited for minor in possession of alcohol by consumption. Saturday, 4:00 a.m. — A burglary was reported in the 300 block of North Main Street. An unknown man entered a woman's residence by force and committed theft therein. Saturday, 8:19 a.m. — A 23-year-old man was arrested on charges of first-degree burglary, theft of services and criminal mischief after he was suspected of burglarizing the Palm Motel in the 1000 block of Siskiyou Boulevard. He was lodged at the Jackson County Jail. Saturday, 1:11 p.m. — Ashland police assisted the Major Assault and Death Unit in the investigation of a murder in Rogue River. Saturday, 3:22 p.m. — A theft was reported in the first block of North Main Street. Saturday, 8:02 p.m. — Police responded to a possible burglary in the 500 block of East Main Street. An unknown suspect damaged the rear door of a residence by kicking it. Sunday, 12:12 a.m. —A 27-year-old man was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct near North Main and Granite streets. Sunday, 1:10 a.m. — A 21-year-old man was cited on a charge of open container of alcohol across from The Vinyl Club in the 100 block of Will Dodge Way. Sunday, 8:43 a.m. — Two separate cases of mail theft were reported in the 200 block of Palm Avenue. Sunday, 9:09 a.m. — A man and his dog were bitten by another dog in the area of Scenic Drive and Manzanita Street. The owner was cited. Sunday, 9:36 a.m. — A theft was reported in the first block of Winburn Way. Sunday, 12:59 p.m. — Police investigated an unattended death in the 600 block of Normal Avenue. Sunday, 3:14 p.m. — A 21-year-old man was arrested on a charge of heroin possession in the first block of North Main Street. He was lodged at jail. Sunday, 9:55 p.m. — Police responded to a mental health referral in the first block of Bush Street. Sunday, 10:58 p.m. — A 28-year-old man was arrested on a charge of theft after he was suspected of stealing a bike worth over $1,000 near Oak Street and Lithia Way. He was lodged at Jackson County Jail.
