In the Twilight Zone, nothing ever really seemed to be as it appeared. So it is today in the Washington D.C.-produced mini-series, “Iraq, the sequel.” Over the next four weeks, this column will direct its attention to the theater occurring in Iraq, where the real life drama we watch daily in the news are scenes that intrigue us, toy with our emotions and claim to inform us of history unfolding. Like real theater, the actors are changing their roles and rehearsing their lines … readying themselves for the next act to unfold, while preparing for their cues to enter and exit the stage. Yet, behind the curtain is a very different activity that the viewing audience does not see.
