Ballet Folklorico The Rogue Valley's Ballet Folklorico Latin Reflection Dance Group will present the 5th annual Mexican folkloric dance performance at 7 p.m. Saturday, February 15 and at 3 p.m. on Sunday, February 16 at South Medford High School auditorium. The dancers will perform traditional and original dances to the music of six Mexican regions. The bright and colorful costumes, whirling skirts, lively music and fancy footwork appeal to everyone. Performance highlights include Aztec ritual dances and couples salsa dancing. Fun for all ages, the show will be narrated in English and Spanish. Hard at work to make this the best performance ever, dancers have been attending workshops throughout the year, learning new dances and in some cases developing original choreography to traditional favorites. Audience members familiar with the work of this outstanding group will notice new costumes from Mexico and dances from different regions. The Ballet Folklorico Latin Reflection dancers are students from many Rogue Valley area schools and other community members. The dancers range in age from six years to adult. Victoria Snow Mountain, a South Medford High School ESL teacher, directs the group. This is the tenth year of performance by the Latin Reflection dancers. Ticket prices are $5 for adults, $4 for students with student ID and $3 for children 11 and under. A special family price of $10 per family is available for the Sunday matinee only.
