Golfing Denise Baratta The opening of the 18-hole Eagle Point Golf Course, designed by architect Robert Trent Jones, Jr., has brought southern Oregon into the spotlight for quality public golfing. With 175 acres of gently rolling terrain and a par of 72, the course offers something for everyone, and is located just 10 minutes by car from Medford. The City of Ashland's own Oak Knoll Golf Course also challenges the best in the Rogue Valley. The nine-hole course is a par 71 for men, par 74 for women. The club features men's and women's leagues, as well as tournaments throughout the year such as the City of Ashland Open. A full pro shop offers brand-name equipment for sale and to rent. Other 18-hole courses in the area include Stoneridge, outside White City, Cedar Links just off Interstate 5, and the Rogue Valley Country Club.
