stated that he and his wife, SARAH, recently deceased, had received a ;

California but that since that time, they have received no word of any
sort from the subject. ,:w -
Hr. COHEN also stated that to the best of his recollection,
the subject had indicated in his letters that he was living in a small
town in the Los Angeles, California area. The subject had also advised
that he and his wife had worked on a small farm for a short time, and
the last information received from subject was that he was doing some
sort of private teaching.
Hr. COHEN advised that VA compensation checks continue to come
addressed to the subject at 2020 Walton Avenue, and that he has been
holding said checks until such time as he is able to learn the subject's
whereabouts and turn said checks over to the subject,
' In conclusion, Mr. COHEN stated that his son's long unexplained

subject had always been a fine son and a good boy, and that under the
circumstances he was at a loss to explain the subject*s long absence.
He stated that inasmuch as he and the subject had always been on friendly
