Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Blankenship Sunday on charges of first-degree burglary, first-degree trespass, menacing and harassment. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail on bail of $31,000. Weapon — Richard Weyland Dawson, 56, of the 800 block of Brentwood Drive, Eagle Point. U.S. Forest Service officers arrested Dawson Sunday on charges of being a felon in possession of a prohibited weapon, failing to appear in court to answer charges of driving under the influence of marijuana and driving while suspended. He posted bail and was released from the county jail. Weapon — Robert Allen Plumb, 37, of the 1300 block of Spring Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Plumb Sunday on two charges of being a felon in possession of a restricted weapon. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail on bail of $10,000. Identity theft — Michael Allen Eastman, 19, no local address. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Eastman Sunday on charges of identity theft, unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle, and second-degree theft. He was lodged in the county jail on bail of $13,000. Crime reports Burglary — Jackson County sheriff’s deputies took a report Sunday of a residential burglary in the 100 block of Fern Valley Road, Talent. Fire calls Grass fire — Firefighters from the Oregon Department of Forestry and the U.S. Forest Service extinguished a grass fire Sunday on Ashland’s East Main Street near the Windmill Inn. The fire was reported at 3:35 p.m. Flames burned about an acre of dry grass before firefighters extinguished them.
