The Chieftains held the high-scoring Pirates to 22 first-half points, but Phoenix used a 41-point second half for a 63-46 Skyline Conference boys basketball win Friday night. Rogue River (10-10, 5-5 Skyline) trailed 22-18 at the half but gave up 19 points in the third quarter. "We started turning the ball over a bunch," said Chieftains coach Scott Anderson, whose team had 13 turnovers in the second half. "(Phoenix) hurt us with a 1-3-1 trap, and they started hitting their 3s. "They didn’t shoot the ball as well as they normally do in the first half."
