Miller made his initial appearance Monday in Jackson County Circuit Court on charges of delivery and possession of marijuana, delivering a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school and endangering the welfare of a minor. He was processed Monday at the Jackson County Jail then released on his own recognizance. Assault — Kerry Denise Vaught, 32, of the 13700 block of Highway 234, Gold Hill. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies Monday arrested Vaught on charges of felony fourth-degree assault and interfering with a police report. She was lodged at the Jackson County Jail, where she was being held Monday in lieu of $9,000 bail. Robbery — Jacob Grant Sather, 16, of the 3900 block of Avenue H, White City. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies Monday arrested Sather on charges of first-degree robbery and conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery. He was lodged at the Jackson County Jail, where he was being held Monday in lieu of $500,000 bail. Fugitive — Nathan Allen Joling, 18, of the 2000 block of Walnut Grove Lane, Central Point. Central Point police Monday arrested Joling on a fugitive warrant out of Washington, where he is wanted on a charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He was lodged at the Jackson County Jail, where he was being held without bail Monday. Crime reports Theft — 2900 block of Delta Waters Road, Medford. Medford police took a report Monday of the theft of a 2005 Yamaha quad valued at $11,000. The theft was reported to police at 8:26 a.m. Miscellaneous Jail releases — A total of 105 inmates were released last week from the Jackson County Jail to meet its new court-ordered cap of no more than 230 inmates. Of those, 46 were released before their scheduled court appearances, 24 were granted an early release from a sentence and 35 were released for miscellaneous reasons.
