North boys drop fourth straight tilt North Medford's boys basketball team is in a free fall. The Black Tornado lost its fourth consecutive game Tuesday when Grants Pass cruised to a 92-52 Southern Oregon Conference victory at the North Medford gym. The loss dropped North to 1-4 in the SOC and 4-10 overall. The Cavemen (11-3, 3-2 SOC) jumped out to a 22-9 first quarter lead and continued to add to the margin. Senior forward Brant Minor scored a game-high 23 points to pace four Cavemen in double figures. Senior guard Zach Taylor led North Medford with 15 points, while senior center Gabe Burchfiel tossed in eight points and grabbed eight rebounds. Hall scored 21 points, Garrett Stembridge added 16 and Joe Newton snagged nine rebounds for Roseburg (9-6, 4-1 SOC). Clinton Bryan scored nine for Ashland (5-8, 1-4 SOC). Jeff Pisan led four Pelicans (8-6, 3-2 SOC) in double figures with 14 points, while Zach Tucker recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
