He will make the official announcement on Monday. "When you look at everything Peyton has accomplished as a player and person, it's easy to see how fortunate we've been to have him on our team," said Broncos General Manger John Elway on DenverBroncos.com . "Peyton was everything that we thought he was and even more -- not only for the football team but in the community. I'm very thankful Peyton chose to play for the Denver Broncos, and I congratulate him on his Hall of Fame career." Denver Broncos win Super Bowl 50 After spending 14 years with the Indianapolis Colts , during which he won a Super Bowl ring and MVP honors in 2007, Manning transferred to the Denver Broncos in 2012 after missing a season to recover from neck surgery. In his short tenure there, he spearheaded one of the most successful periods in the Mile High City team's history. He set nearly every Bronco single season passing record in his first year. In 2013, the Broncos became the highest-scoring offense in NFL history. Despite being plagued by neck injuries in his final season, Manning, who turns 40 on March 24, caps off a Hall of Fame career with a victory at Super Bowl 50 and the records for all-time passing touchdowns (539) and yards (71,940). He holds the same single-season records as well (55 touchdowns, 5,477 yards). He will go down as one of the greatest offensive players in NFL history. Manning's announcement on Monday will likely address whether the quarterback is leaving the NFL entirely or whether he's considering coaching or management positions within the league.
