Do they plan to bring it back in the future? It allowed for great connections when traveling east and was always full whenever I was on it. — Ann A., Ashland By all accounts, Ann, the Denver routes were good for Southern Oregon and SkyWest, which operates as United Express in this market. But when United Airlines and its regional partner, Atlantic Coast Airlines, had a parting of ways this spring the ripple effect was felt all the way to the Rogue Valley. SkyWest is subject to United Airlines’ demands for planes and scheduling. When United lost its access to Atlantic Coast’s planes and personnel, it called on SkyWest to supply them for more lucrative routes east of the Mississippi River. Advertisement SkyWest’s Medford manager Jan Robertson says new planes the company has on order will ease the crunch and that lost service will likely be restored at a later date. But for now, the sole departure from Medford will be at 1:55 p.m. and arrive at Denver International at 5:17 p.m. The Denver to Medford trip leaves at 11:30 a.m. and lands in the Rogue Valley at 1:20 p.m. The needs of the major airline have also changed Medford-San Francisco flights, moving times from early morning to midday.
