SOU enrollment at 5,104 for fall term Nov 11, 2009 12:00 AM A A Southern Oregon University has reported its highest fall term student enrollment since 2004. The university has also reached a new high in minority enrollment. Total enrollment was 5,104, a four-tenths of a percent increase over fall 2008. Minority student enrollment was listed at 12.7 percent. Other highlights in the report released this week included: Full-time equivalent enrollment is at 3,931, 2.1 percent above fall 2008, and the highest fall-term level since 2004. The largest new graduate class in SOU's history and the first time SOU has ever exceeded 300 new graduate students. California student enrollment is up 21 percent over last fall. For the first time, SOU enrollment exceeded 500 Californians. Enrollment at the SOU/RCC Higher Education Center in Medford is up 4.4 percent over fall 2008, with 825 students at the HEC.
