Medford exit blocked by excavator Thursday Oct 20, 2016 at 5:26 PM Oct 20, 2016 at 6:45 PM A Medford exit was temporarily blocked by a piece of heavy construction equipment that fell off its trailer late Thursday afternoon, according to an Oregon Department of Transportation release. An eastbound lane of the exit 30 off-ramp from southbound Interstate 5 was blocked at about 5 p.m. by an excavator that fell off its lowboy trailer. The accident caused delays near the Big X, particularly onto eastbound Crater Lake Highway. A call to an ODOT spokesman weren't immediately returned. ODOT reported in a release that all lanes were back open by 5:30 p.m.
