Medford police arrested Villa on Sept. 9 on charges of fourth-degree assault and menacing. He faced added charges Tuesday of attempting to elude police in a vehicle and on foot, two counts of being a felon in possession of a weapon and one count each of menacing, reckless endangering and being in the country illegally. He was jailed without bail. Arson —Louanne Chase, 40, no permanent address. Medford police arrested Chase late Monday on charges of first-degree arson, reckless burning and third-degree criminal mischief after she allegedly lit toilet paper on fire with matches smuggled into Jackson County’s sobering unit on Front Street. The flames damaged a plastic mattress in Chase’s cell. She was lodged in the Jackson County Jail on $63,000 bail. Drugs — Jeffrey Alan Woehrle, 39, of the 200 block of Freeman Road, Central Point. Central Point police arrested Woehrle early Tuesday on a charge of possession of amphetamine. He was jailed on $5,000 bail. Drugs — Michael Clifford O’Neil, 50, no address listed. Ashland police arrested O’Neil Tuesday on a charge of possession of amphetamine. He was jailed on $5,000 bail.
