Medford police arrested Morningstar Tuesday on two counts of first-degree theft, 11 counts of mail theft, and charges of negotiating a bad check, first-degree possession of a forged instrument, first-degree forgery and identity theft. She was lodged in the Jackson County Jail, then released on her own recognizance Wednesday. Drugs — Scott Anthony Schutt, 37, of the 300 block of South Haven Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Schutt Tuesday on a charge of possession of amphetamines. He was lodged in jail, then released on his own recognizance Wednesday. Burglary — Israel Luis Hernandez, 19, no address listed. Medford police arrested Hernandez Wednesday on a warrant charging him with first-degree burglary and charges of second- degree criminal mischief, harassment and being an illegal alien. He was held in jail without bail. Drugs — David Americus Hixson, 41, of the 9400 block of Upper Applegate Road, Jacksonville. Medford police arrested Hixson on a charge of possession of amphetamines. He was lodged in jail, where he remained Wednesday night on $5,000 bail. Crime reports Theft — 800 Crater Lake Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report Tuesday of a theft of a purse and compact discs from a vehicle. The total estimated value of the items reported stolen was $980. Advertisement Theft — 2200 block of South Pacific Highway, Talent. A Jackson County sheriff’s deputy took a report Tuesday of a theft of a white 1969 Dodge pickup with Oregon license plate DRR 986.
