The junior right-hander struck out five, walked three and hit two batters. Of her 88 pitches, 57 were strikes. Churchill’s lone run came in the fifth when Briar McIrvin walked, advanced on a wild pitch and stolen base and scored on one of the Comets’ four errors. Sydney Beck led the Crater (3-8, 2-2 MWL) offense, going 3-for-3 and scoring twice. Brie Sheperd drove in two runs and scored one on one hit, and Tristin Fisher had a hit and an RBI.
