Grizz falls shy despite Clevenger's big outing ASHLAND - Bryan Clevenger has found his 3-point stroke for the Ashland High boys basketball team. Clevenger drained seven 3s and scored 23 points but the Grizzlies' lack of an inside game cost them in a 61-57 loss to Petaluma, Calif., on Saturday. "We couldn't get any kind of an inside game going," said Ashland coach John Skinner. "Bryan has been really shooting well for us the last three games like he did tonight. "We couldn't put it all together. It was just one of those games." Ashland made all seven of its 3-point attempts in the first half when Petaluma insisted on playing a zone defense. The Grizzlies lost their touch in the third quarter, however, and hit only 2-of-14 from the field. Ashland went from a tie game at the half to down 11 after the third. "We just went cold," said Skinner. "We missed everything, 6 to 8 feet, 3-pointers, everything." Lance Streng added 14 points for Ashland (4-4). PETALUMA, CALIF.
