Grants Pass girls fall to West Albany ALBANY - The season tipped off on a sour note for the Grants Pass girls basketball team, as West Albany laid a 56-38 loss on the visiting Cavers on Thursday night. Megan Moon led Grants Pass with nine points, but the Bulldogs ran away largely on the strength of a 17-7 second-quarter edge. West Albany, which sank five three-pointers to the Cavers' one, was paced by Marissa Higgins' 13 points.
