Christmas tree permits offered The Forest Service and the Bureau of Land Management are again offering Christmas tree permits good on most federal land in the region. The $5 permits can be used on the Rogue River National Forest, the Medford District of the Bureau of Land Management and the Siskiyou National Forest. With the purchase of each permit, the recipient will receive a printed map with the Christmas tree harvest areas shaded in green. The permits can be purchased at: The BLM�s Medford District office at 3040 Biddle Road in Medford, from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays. The Rogue River forest headquarters at 333 W. Eighth St., Medford, from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays. The Rogue River forest ranger district offices in Ashland, Upper Applegate Valley, Butte Falls and Prospect, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The McKee Bridge Store in the Upper Applegate Valley, from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week. The Rite Aid store in Ashland, weekdays as well as from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
