The North Medford senior shot a 2-over-par 74, giving him a 147 total in the two-day event. Kaufman shot a 2-over 78 the first day, then came in with an 81 in windy, rainy conditions at Ocean Dunes on Friday. Phoenix finished third in the team standings with a 674 total. Host Siuslaw won the tournament and Taft placed second. Tennis BEND INVITATIONAL — At Bend, North Medford used a 9-8 advantage in sets to break a 4-4 tie with Bend at the five-team event. North Medford’s No. 3 doubles team of Sophie Timmerman and Maria Fuertes won its opening set, 6-4, then rallied from a 5-1 deficit to claim a 7-5 victory in the second set.
