Phoenix, Talent Web sites created with volunteer efforts BY WENDY SIPOREN Phoenix and Talent have made their debut on the information superhighway. City residents and interested people worldwide can now obtain timely information about city functions through the cities' official Web sites. Talent volunteer coordinator Allison Zigich designed Talent's site from scratch. It includes a profile of the community, a listing of city officials, the city newsletter, volunteer and employment opportunities, meeting and event information and meeting minutes. Browsers may also e-mail city officials through the site. Phoenix Forward member and planning commissioner Micki Summerhays took on the job of designing Phoenix's site. With the help of Phoenix High School student Laura Meredith, residents may now read the city newsletter, a city guide and get general planning and zoning information. Summerhays said updated information will be available at the site next week. In the future, she plans on including resources for tourists and establishing links to the Chamber of Commerce, local schools and the Phoenix Historical society.
