Brittany Farrer had 14 points, 10 rebounds and four steals to lead the Panthers, who won their first game of the season following two losses. Fellow seniors Alyssa Watson and Katie Singler added 14 and 10 points, respectively, for South Medford. Casey Martin buried two first-quarter 3-pointers to help spark the Panther offense. "We played really well tonight," said South Medford coach Andrea Jaime. "I was really pleased with our effort and our fundamentals." South Medford, which suffered 38 turnovers in a loss to South Eugene last Saturday, coughed up the ball only 16 times Tuesday. Advertisement "That was a huge improvement for us," Jaime said. The Panthers, who jumped to a 23-point halftime lead, used an effective press that generated 22 steals. Jaime was pleased with her team’s execution. "This was a good opportunity for us to work on that (the press)," she said. "We played really well defensively. This was a confidence-builder."
