Springfield man dies in I-5 crash near Grants Pass Tuesday Jan 3, 2017 at 10:39 AM A 45-year-old Springfield man died in a Monday night crash on Interstate 5 near Grants Pass. The man, whose name has not yet been released by Oregon State Police, was reportedly traveling north on the freeway near milepost 55 in a 2003 Ford F-150 when the 11:30 p.m. crash occurred, according to a news release. The vehicle suddenly drove off the road and slammed into a disabled GMC Yukon parked on the shoulder. The man's vehicle then rolled over and came to a rest on its roof in a ditch. Emergency responders pronounced the man dead at the scene. Three passengers in the vehicle were transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to the release. OSP said more information will be released later today.
