Wilson, 20, fighting in the open super heavyweight division, stopped Tony O’Brien of West Portland in the second round. Wilson wobbled O’Brien with a hook late in the first round, then jumped on his opponent early in the second. The bout was stopped after O’Brien was assessed two standing eight counts. Advertisement "Mike wore him down with combinations," Bulldog trainer Jim Pedrojetti said. "He was hitting him with some power shots." Wyatt, making his first ring appearance since winning a bronze medal in the Junior Olympics over a year ago, stopped two-time Oregon Golden Gloves champion Bo Mathwaller of Corvallis in the first round of an open 152-pound bout The fight was stopped after Wyatt pummeled Mathwaller against the ropes with a series of punches. Wyatt, 17, started fast, crumbling Mathwaller into the ropes with a hook 30 seconds into the round. Wyatt followed with a strong right that knocked Mathwaller to his knees and the fight was stopped soon afterward. The bout was a tune-up for Wyatt, who plans to compete in the under-19 national championships at Alexandria, La., next month. Lorenzo Rios Jr., 17, of the Bulldog Club lost a 132-pound four-round decision to Broulio Gonzalez of West Portland on the same card. Rios was seeing his first action after a long layoff. "His (Rios) timing was a little off and he ran out of gas," said Pedrojetti. "That was the difference."
