Totems topple Spartans, take 2-0 series lead Mar 10, 2011 12:00 AM A A SEATTLE — Kyle Peterson scored two of Seattle's five second-period goals and finished with four points to lead the Totems to a 6-3 win over the Spartans in Game 2 of the second-round NORPAC playoff series Wednesday. The win gives Seattle a 2-0 lead in the best-of-five series, which resumes Friday at The RRRink. Peterson finished with three goals and an assist and teammate Jamie Thompson had three assists and a goal for the Totems, who dominated Tuesday's series-opener 8-1. Casey Skolnik and Dario Torres led the Spartans' offense. Skolnik had two assists and Torres had a goal and an assist. Peterson broke a scoreless tie two minutes into the second period, then made it 2-0 eight minutes later. Down 5-0, the Spartans finally got on the board when Vance Bridgman scored off assists by Skolnik and Torres 52 seconds into the third period.
