Today BUTTE FALLS 11 a.m. — Parade from Butte Falls Elementary School, down Broad Street and around the park, twice, on Oak, South and Fir streets. Noon to 3 p.m. — Games, food, booths, softball tournament and live music by the Old Time Fiddlers will be offered in the city's park. 7 to 9 p.m. — Street dance with music by The Renegades in the downtown area. Sunday, July 4 ASHLAND 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. — Pancake breakfast at the Ashland Elks Lodge. Cost is $6 for adults; $3 for children ages 11 and younger. Visitors should use the lodge entrance on Will Dodge Way between First and Second streets. Call 541-482-3911. 7:45 a.m. — A six-mile run starts at the Ashland Library, 410 Siskiyou Blvd. A two-mile run starts at 7:52 a.m. Registration begins at 6:30 a.m. and ends at 7:15 a.m. in the Ashland Library. 10:15 a.m. — The Fourth of July Parade begins at Triangle Park and follows Siskiyou Boulevard to East Main Street, then finishes at Water Street. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. — The Native Plant Society of Oregon's Irene Hollenbeck Memorial Wildflower Show at the Ashland Community Center, 59 Winburn Way. 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. — Arts and crafts fair, along with food and information booths, in Lithia Park. 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. — Ashland Lions Club will offer a barbecue meal for $10 in Lithia Park to raise money for community projects. 12:30 p.m. — Ashland City Band performs at the band shell. 1:15 p.m. — Mayor John Stromberg's Welcome Address at the Butler Band Shell in Lithia Park. 1:25 p.m. — Reading of the Declaration of Independence at the band shell. 2 p.m.- 5 p.m. — Folk artist Kat del Rio and Friends, Celtic rock band Brother, and Heather Hutton and Friends will perform at 2 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4 p.m., respectively, at the band shell. Singer-songwriter Gene Burnett will perform between shows. 8 p.m. — American Band College concert at Ashland High School's stadium on Mountain Avenue. Tickets are $18. 10 p.m. — Fireworks display presented by the Ashland Chamber of Commerce at the SOU athletic field. Visible from most parts of Ashland. Free shuttle bus service courtesy of the Rogue Valley Transportation District will be available from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Shuttle buses will leave the Tolman Creek Plaza (near Albertsons) every 20 minutes for the downtown plaza. CENTRAL POINT 7 to 10 a.m. — Boy Scouts of America will offer a pancake breakfast at the Central Point Grange, Fifth and Pine streets. The cost is $5 for adults, $3 for children ages 12 and younger and $13 for a family of four. 8 a.m. — Firecracker Fun Run for kids 5 to 12 starts at Anytime Fitness on Oak Street. 8:30 a.m. — Pre-parade activities begin on Pine Street. Stake out your spot to watch the procession and join in children's activities, including water fights, a water balloon toss, pinatas, bubbles, sidewalk chalk drawing, wagon rides and music. 9:30 a.m. — The Fourth of July Parade leaves Crater High School and follows Second Street and Pine Street, pausing between Third and Fourth streets so Leah Rozett can sing the national anthem before fighter jets fly over. 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. — Activities, food, music and vendors in Robert Pfaff Park, Sixth and Manzanita streets. Noon to 12:45 p.m. — The Scottish Bagpipe Band performs at the Pfaff Park band shell. 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. — Hog Wild performs at the park's band shell. EAGLE POINT 7 to 11 a.m. — Breakfast for $6 at the Eagle Point Grange. 8 a.m. — One-mile and five-kilometer runs take place in Bob Moore Park. 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. — Vendor booths will be open. 9 to 11 a.m. and noon to 2 p.m. — Children's activity booths open at Campus Life, next to Eagle Point High School. 11 a.m. — Parade. 6 p.m. — Concessions open at the stadium at Eagle Point High School. 7 p.m. — Pre-fireworks karaoke show at EPHS stadium. Dusk — A fireworks display, with the "Skydiver Parachute Lottery" to be held during intermission. Visitors leave marked paper plates on the field at EPHS. Skydivers will parachute into the field to pick the winners. A fireworks finale will close the festivities. MEDFORD 9:45 p.m. — Red, White & Boom! Medford's Independence Day fireworks display, touted as the largest in the region, takes place at Harry & David Field, 2929 S. Pacific Highway. Admission is free. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis and only folding sand chairs and blankets are allowed on the field. Pre-firework activities include the presentation of colors by the Young Marines of Southern Oregon at 7 p.m., live music by the Stereotyped Band at 7:30 p.m., the singing of the national anthem at 9:35 p.m. and a Croman Corporation Lear Jet flyover at 9:40 p.m. Fireworks begin at 9:45 p.m. Free children's games will be available and vendors will sell food at the field. No outside food, beverages or alcohol are permitted. A shuttle will provided free transportation between the field and the Harry and David parking lot at 2600 S.
