SOU women lose in OT to Eastern Oregon Dec 01, 2007 12:00 AM A A LAGRANDE — Southern Oregon's Jacki Speer posted a double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds but the Raiders dropped their Cascade Conference women's basketball opener to defending champion Eastern Oregon, 80-78 in overtime at Quinn Coliseum Friday. Chelsey Muri's field goal gave Southern Oregon a 74-72 lead with two seconds remaining in regulation, but Tiffanie Ulmer took a half-court pass and connected for a time-expiring field goal to send the game into overtime. Muri paced the Raiders with 17 points and added nine assists. Laura Olson tallied a game-high 27 points for Eastern Oregon. Men's Basketball EASTERN OREGON 84, SOUTHERN OREGON 64 — At LaGrande, sophomore Josh Landsverk came off the bench to spark six Eastern Oregon players in double figures with a game-high 19 points in the Cascade Conference opener for both teams. Landsverk also grabbed seven rebounds along with teammate Paul Carollo as the 18th-ranked Mountaineers (7-1, 1-0 CC) dominated the boards, 45-27.
