Crosswalk sting coming to Medford Friday Monday May 8, 2017 at 3:25 PM Medford police will conduct crosswalk enforcement from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, May 12, at the intersection of West Main and North Ivy streets. The operation will target and ticket drivers failing to yield the right of way to pedestrians in the crosswalk at the intersection, according to a news release. Violators will be stopped and cited for failure to stop and remain stopped, or to pass vehicles stopped at the crosswalk. "Drivers should be reminded there is a crosswalk at every intersection, regardless if it is marked or unmarked," the news release said. Both violations carry a presumptive fine of $260 under Oregon law.
