Grizzlies shine in road win over Mazama Jan 22, 2012 12:00 AM A A KLAMATH FALLS — Billy Hansen scored 26 points and had six rebounds and Ashland played one of its better all-around games despite missing two starters during a 62-49 win over Mazama in nonconference boys basketball Saturday. Junior post Jacob Finch, playing for injured Jack Carroll, contributed 11 points and seven rebounds for the Grizzlies (9-7). Carroll is out with a fractured elbow, according to head coach Larry Kellems. Adam Freed-Good, another Grizzly starter, missed the game because of a death in the family. Ashland's James Skinner, a junior point guard, dished out six assists to go with six points and Ethan Schlecht added 10 points. Austin McGrew scored 22 points, and Will Brain and Thomas Holland added 18 apiece for the Timberwolves (12-4, 6-1 MVL), who have won eight of their last nine games.
