South Medford bowlers in first place at state PORTLAND � The South Medford High boys bowling team is in first place Saturday after the opening day of the state championships at AMF 20th Century Lanes. The defending state-champion Ashland girls team also is in good position with a third-place standing heading into today�s Baker games. Today�s TV style format begins at 2 p.m. Breakfast slated today to support CP Babe Ruth CENTRAL POINT � A breakfast to support Central Point Babe Ruth will be held today from 9-11 a.m. at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 2000 Table Rock Rd. Cost is $4 per person and includes bacon or sausage, eggs, hash browns and biscuits. Slo-pitch softball draft scheduled March 17-18 Alpha Telcom�s third annual Superdraft for slo-pitch softball is set March 17-18 at the All Sports Park in Grants Pass. Men and women can sign up individually for a variety of levels and divisions, with a draft party set at J.D.�s Sports Pub in Grants Pass. Signup is at 6 p.m. with a 7 p.m. draft time. Entry fee is $25, or $20 for returning players with guest. The fee includes a tourney shirt and four-game guarantee.
