Tornado boys top Pels in tennis In the final Southern Oregon Conference boys tennis dual match of the season, North Medford coach Chad Empee went with an all-senior singles lineup. The Black Tornado upperclassmen responded by sweeping the five singles matches without losing a set in an 8-1 win over visiting Klamath Union at District Courts. The victory, which took just about one hour, improves North to 8-1 in the SOC. "I didn't expect that strong of a showing because most of them are doubles players," Empee said. The Black Tornado improved to 10-0 overall and 8-0 in the SOC. North completes its regular season at Roseburg Monday.
