Medford police late Sunday arrested Bauer on a warrant charging her with two counts of first-degree theft. She was lodged in the Jackson County Jail, then released Monday morning because of jail overcrowding. Drugs — Joshua Preston, 22, of Roseburg. Rogue River police Monday arrested Preston on charges of possession of methamphetamine and furnishing false information to police. He was lodged Sunday in the Jackson County Jail, then released Monday because of jail overcrowding. Contempt — David Daniel Sweet, 21, of the 300 block of North Ninth Street, Central Point. Medford police Monday arrested Sweet on charges of contempt for violating a restraining order and two counts of endangerment. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail, where he was being held Monday in lieu of $13,000 bail. Drugs— Alan D. Weston Jr., 20, no address available. Medford police Monday arrested Weston on charges of manufacturing and possession of methamphetamine. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail, where he was being held Monday in lieu of $25,000 bail. Crime reports Theft — 8400 block of 14th Street, White City. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies took a report at 8:03 a.m. Monday of the theft of a 1985 Ford Pickup, with Oregon license number HTE-235. Theft — 6100 block of Crater Lake Highway, White City. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies took a report at 9:30 a.m. Monday of the theft of miscellaneous items from a storage unit. The theft was valued at $1,800. Miscellaneous Jail releases — A total of 125 inmates were released last week from the Jackson County Jail to meet its new court-ordered cap of no more than 230 inmates. Of those, 48 were released before their scheduled court appearances, 27 were granted an early release from a sentence and 50 were released for miscellaneous reasons.
