Ariana Watson broke through for host South Medford’s lone singles win, but the Panthers won three doubles matches and earned a 4-4 tie against Grants Pass in Southwest Conference girls tennis Tuesday at South Medford High. Watson, playing in the No. 3 slot, defeated Shelby Bowen, 7-5, 6-4. South Medford’s top doubles team, Becca Newell and Maddie Day, cruised to a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Calista Van Delden and An Mei Goei. SINGLES: Elizabeth Williams, GP, d.
