SOU tennis team runs record to 6-0 GLENDALE, Ariz . -- Gail Patton juggled her Raider tennis lineup to perfection once again Wednesday, giving Katie Fankhanel and McKenzie Walther a rest from singles duties and still coming out on top against Mills College. Southern Oregon (6-0) remained perfect on the season thanks to a sweep of the doubles competitions and wins in four of the six singles matches to upend Mills College, 7-2, at the Arizona Collegiate Duals. Julie Nelson and Melissa Lindbloom each earned singles wins in Patton's revamped lineup, with Anne Endrikat and Mallika Miller also earning victories. Fankhanel and Walther ran their doubles record to 6-0, while the duos of Lindsey Chrisman and Endrikat and Amy Krueger and Miller capped the sweep. "I've been very pleased," Patton said of SOU's quick start. "The kids are getting stronger and stronger and the confidence that they've gained has really been showing."
