North wins Phoenix Invitational Dec 31, 2005 12:00 AM A A PHOENIX ' The North Medford wrestling team claimed four individual titles en route to the team championship at the seven-team Phoenix Invitational on Thursday. North Medford won all six of its dual meets ' including a 42-40 win over Phoenix ' and notched 52 points to claim the overall victory. Henley was second with 48 points and Phoenix third at 41. Overall, it ended up being a great tournament, said Phoenix coach Harry Mondale. There was a lot of good wrestling by everyone. The Black Tornado got individual championships from Tyson Scott at 112 pounds, Jon Ulrey (140), Ryan Folsom (171) and Tim Endecott (275). The Pirates had three individual champions in Shane Tourville (119), Nick Amuchastegui (152) and Doug Stewart (160).
