Seagulls hand Rogues their first loss By Mail Tribune staff Updated: Jun 14, 2021 08:14 PM A A Medford Rogues baseball SAN FRANCISCO — The San Francisco Seagulls sent Medford home with the Rogues’ first loss of the season Monday, 10-1, in Golden State Collegiate Baseball League play. Medford had opened the season with five straight wins and is 5-1. San Francisco scored five runs in the third inning to take a commanding 7-1 lead. Medford’s Ruben Cedillo was 2-for-4 with an RBI, and Emiliano Alarcon was 2-for-2. In Sunday’s second game of a doubleheader, Medford extended its winning streak with a 9-8 victory, erupting for seven runs in the third inning. Cedillo was 2-for-2 and drove in four runs to lead Medford. He walked twice and scored once. Caleb Schorr had a triple and knocked in two runs for Medford, and Grant Sherrod scored twice.
