Saturday registration and tech, 8:30 a.m.- noon; practice runs from 8:45 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday registration and tech, 8:30-9:15 a.m. for first 30 driver. Meeting at 9:30, timed runs start at 9:45. Registration and tech open again 11-12:30 p.m., meeting at 12:45, timed runs at 1. Entry $16 Saturday, $22 Sunday. Valid drivers license and helmets required. Call 773-2661, 471-0612 or 560-1151. Baseball AMERICAN YOUTH BASEBALL ALLIANCE — Seeking players and coaches ages 9-16 for the 2003 all-star Nationals Program. For more information visit www.aayba.com . BROWN CLASSIC — The tournament to raise funds for the Doernbecher’s Children’s Hospital is from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday at Beck Field in Rogue River. For information, call 582-3297. Football ROGUE WARRIORS — The local entry in the Oregon Football League, for which it is the defending champion, begins the season at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Rogue River against the Coyotes of The Dalles. The 45-man Warriors are in their sixth year and will play four of their eight regular-season games at home. Ticket prices are $3, with children under 12 admitted free. YMCA PEE WEE — Registration under way for Pee Wee flag football. For first- and second-grade girls and boys. Season is April 26-May 31 and costs $15 for YMCA members, $30 for non-members. Call Wes Towne or David Douglas at 772-6295. Golf UNITED WAY/UPS TEAM CHALLENGE — June 7, Stone Ridge Golf Course. Format is four-person scramble. Cost is $90 per person or $360 per team. Registration is under way. Shotgun start at 9 a.m. Contact: United Way, 773-5339. PEAR BLOSSOM CLASSIC — Thursday, Cedar Links. Format is five-person, low gross, low net. Cost is $60 per person. Tee times are 7:30 a.m.- 1:30 p.m. Call 773-4373. ROD RUMREY TOURNAMENT — May 18, Cedar Links Golf Course. Tournament honoring former North Medford football coach Rod Rumrey’s retirement. STEWART MEADOWS MEN’S CLUB — Tournament will be Saturday, May 3, 2003 at the Stewart Meadows Golf Course. The format is Member/Guest two-man team. Guest must have handicap. Nine holes best ball, Nine hole scramble (all net). Ice Skating THE RRRINK LEARN-TO-SKATE PROGRAM — Lessons offered for ages 3 through adult. $70 for six-week session ages 6-adult; $50 for six-week session ages 3-5. Six-week sessions include six half-hour group lessons, 15 minutes of practice prior to each lesson and free admission to one public session on day of class. Call Tami Kuechel at 770-1177. Softball MEN’S SLOW-PITCH TOURNAMENT — The 20th annual Bear Creek Lock, Safe & Alarm tourney will be held April 26-27 and May 3-4 at the SOU softball complex in Ashland. SENIORS SLOWPITCH TRYOUTS — To be eligible, men must reach their 50th birthday and women their 45th during 2003. Tryouts at Southern Oregon Fields in White City Saturday at noon, April 16 at 5:30 p.m. and April 19 at noon. Games played on Wednesdays from May-August. Fee is $35. Volleyball YOUTH SAND LEAGUE — The City of Medford Parks and Recreation Department will hold a meeting Thursday, 6 p.m. at the Santo Community Center for those interested in playing. Call 774-2400. NORTH MEDFORD SPRING LEAGUE — Grades 4-8, April 14-May 1, at North Medford High. Games played on Monday and Thursday nights from 6:30-8:30 p.m. A 30-minute clinic will be offered with team play to follow. Cost is $20. Call Ron Beick at 842-1273.
