North Medford wallops South, 16-3 Steph Coe's bases-loaded triple highlighted a nine-run seventh-inning as North Medford blasted South Medford 16-3 in non-conference softball at Fagone Field Thursday. Sophomore pitcher Keri Sevano, who relieved Amanda Cregan in the fourth inning, picked up the victory. Fourth-ranked North Medford improved to 17-4 on the season, while South dropped to 5-15. Fetty went 3-for-3 with two RBIs and scored twice to lead the Crusaders' 10-hit attack. Emily Trum and freshman second baseman Kathryn Zielony added two hits each for the Crusaders (12-4, 6-0 District 6). St. Mary's junior shortstop Bree DeArmond provided Fetty with good defensive support. Aaron Harris led the way for Ashland by defeating Levy Brown in No. 1 singles without losing a game. Grants Pass finished the season at 6-7 overall.
