Poppa jumped to an early lead but was passed on the 12th lap by Frank Word III, who then led by nearly five car lengths for several turns. Poppa, however, regained the lead following a restart on the 23rd lap of the 25-lap feature and never let it go. Jon DeBenedetti easily won the feature race in modifieds and Milt Carter won his seventh race in mini stocks. Results for the sprint car A main were not available as of press time.
