Today i throttled back the target voltage by Iv. this should prevent more shutdowns due to over voltage. i think we have got this system dialed in. All the best, Dan Chrisman On Mon, Sep 3, 2018 at 6:57 PM, Good Evening The solar system is down on GSJ No power Sunny islands Sunny boys seem to be in alarm Cluster box no power Please advise as to Dans schedule Regards Brice > wrote: Sent from my iPhone EFTA01024441 On Jul 11, 2018, at 2:10 PM, Marcelo > wrote: Good Afternoon Richard, Please see the below email containing Dan's summary of what actions he performed on his last visit to GSJ. Regarding GSJ here is what's been achieved. -all Aquion battery modules are wired to bypass the corroded, water damaged circuit boards that could interfere with charging profiles. -sunny islands (6) were downgraded to firmware version 6.0.02. This was done to allow a broader, linear charge profile to be set -charging parameters are now based on voltage set points rather than state of charge calculations done internally with different references. EFTA01024442 -max charge voltage has been set to 58.5V and the batteries will not stop charging untill a voltage 1.5V over the set limit is a achieved for 15 seconds. This gives them the ability to serpase the previous charge voltage of 56.7V - the main issue that caused so much down time before was as follows. A target charge voltage that matched the Aquion batteries was not possible with the previous profile. Compiled on that was faulty Aquion circuit boards preventing the batteries from properly charging to a suitable voltage. Aquion, as we know, is no more, so it's impossible to obtain replacement parts. Aquions bms never met the as advertised performance and created more issues than we could have imagined. In short, the changed I made allowed for a higher, more suitable battery voltage to be achieved and prevents the premature shut down we saw before. Again, sorry for the delay, hope all is well Thanks Dan Chrisman Senior Technical Specialist Prosolar LLC From: Richard Kahn Sent: Wednesday, July 11, 2018 10:30 AM To: Brian Prosolar Cc: Brad Spemak; michael glidden; Subject: Re: Friday June 29th can we do thursday morning or anytime friday when can expect Dan's summary? please advise thank you Richard Kahn HBRK Associates Inc. 575 Lexington Avenue 4th Floor New York, NY 10022 to EFTA01024443 fax cell On Jul 10, 2018, at 2:18 PM, Brian Prosolar wrote: Afternoon Richard, Brad is traveling to San Francisco for a conference and I'm boarding a plane to STX. I've asked Dan to write a synopsis of his efforts and we have been monitoring for proper function. I'll relay this tomorrow once he's finished. We're still evaluating but all is functioning as intended for the moment. Additional monitoring and confirmation are needed since the weather over the last week has been extremely cloudy.
