--> Project A makes e-Government easier Ashland Daily Tidings Project A, Inc., an Ashland-based software and Internet technology company, recently announced the launch of the first government Web site to use Government-In-A-Box Lite, a new product developed by the company to make e-Government affordable for smaller cities with tighter budgets. "Our new Government-In-A-Box Lite application offers unprecedented power and flexibility to small cities," said Jim Teece, president and CEO of Project A. "It has the same basic functionality as our top of the line application, but with fewer features and at a much lower price to appeal to this market." Special features of the site include personalized e-mail notification, Americans with Disabilities Act compliance for vision-impaired citizens and the ability to download applications for city employment. All sections and departments of the new Web site maintain the same look, feel and navigation to make it easy for people to find information, according to Project A staff. With the Government-In-A-Box Lite application, the City of Oxford, Ohio, was able to create a Web site using internal talent, according to Michael Ritcher, manager of information services for the City of Oxford. "We are very pleased with the return on our investment, the new services our Web site now offers and the support we have received from Project A," Ritcher said.
