Events offer health care, free school supplies Monday Aug 14, 2017 at 3:36 PM Aug 14, 2017 at 3:36 PM Children can receive free backpacks filled with school supplies plus wellness exams, sports physicals, vaccinations, tooth sealant applications and vision, hearing and dental screenings during Back-to-School Health Fairs at four Rogue Valley schools. The health fairs are open to all school-age children in the community, according to Rogue Community Health, which is holding the fairs with sponsorship support from AllCare Health Plan, Jackson Care Connect and Nonstop Wellness. The fairs are from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Shady Cove School, 37 Schoolhouse Lane, Shady Cove; Wednesday at Eagle Point Middle School, 477 Reese Creek Road, Eagle Point; and Thursday at White Mountain Middle School, 550 Wilson Way, White City. One was held Monday at Table Rock Elementary School in White City. "Summer is a very busy time for parents and students," said Terry Keesling, chief operations officer for Rogue Community Health. "We want to help parents quickly accomplish all their back-to-school health needs for their children in one location." No appointment is needed. A parent or legal guardian must accompany children to receive services. Adults should bring a child's immunization record and insurance card, if a child is insured. Insurance enrollment assistance is available. Adults can enter a drawing to win a $250 gift card. For more information, call Rogue Community Health at 541-826-5853.
