Disabled vehicle on I-5 backing up traffic for miles Jun 30, 2017 12:00 AM A A A disabled vehicle on Interstate 5 at the south Medford interchange has southbound traffic backed up all the way to Exit 30. The incident happened in the southbound fast lane, which is where emergency vehicles have parked, according to the Oregon Department of Transportation. A tow crew is en route. Due to heavy holiday traffic, ODOT officials are recommending drivers from Medford and Central Point consider alternate routes until the scene has been cleared.
