The scores were 13-1 and 11-0. The RiverDogs nearly scored a shutout victory in the opener until Eugene managed to squeak out a run in the bottom of the seventh to close the scoring. It was too little too late for Eugene, however, after Southern Oregon scored six earlier in the inning behind Strate’s bases-loaded triple. Strate also belted a double to finish Game 1 with five RBIs. Derek Draper, Blake St. Onge and Eric Beasly each added two hits. The RiverDogs collected 11 hits in both games, but only needed five innings to do it in a shutout victory in the nightcap. Advertisement Southern Oregon sent 13 batters to the plate in the second inning when Strate hit another double to pick up two more RBIs. Frank Drake and Kenny Halpin were both 2-for-3. Only two Blue Sox batters were allowed on base by pitcher Brandon Willer, who had four strikeouts in his four innings on the mound.
