Box 153 101 Radar Road Tonopah, NV 89049 Administrative assistant to the County Manager responsible for answering telephone calls and directing them to the appropriate department or personnel, assisting the general public, Board members and other County personnel on issues of concern. Prepare agenda�s for the Nye County Board of Commissioner�s meetings by typing, photocopying, preparing packets for distribution via mail or courier service. Prepare ads for publication of additional Board meetings and special meetings attended by several board members. Process invoices for payment by reviewing them for accuracy and preparing vouchers and purchase orders accordingly, deliver to appropriate personnel for further processing. Supervise two (2) employees, assigning work, conducting performance evaluations, approve leave requests and sign bi-weekly time sheets. Review employment applications, write interview questions as they relate to open position, schedule and conduct interviews using an interview panel and recommend and hire qualified individual. Maintain comprehensive filing system and train new employees on the utilization of this system. Assure that all employees are familiar with and capable of operating all office machines within the Department. Draft letters and memos for the County Manager as they relate to various County issues. File appropriate copies of letters/memos and contracts/agreements entered into by the county and other correspondence received as required. Handle confidential information by creating and maintaining excel logs for easy location of information when requested including employee records and medical records as they pertain to a hospital previously managed by the Board of County Commissioners.   10/95 � 7/96 Nye County District Attorney�s Office P.O. Box 593 101 Radar Road Tonopah, NV 89049 Performed the daily filing for the Child Support section of the District Attorney�s Office. Reviewed all the case files and cleaned them up by putting documentation in order and purging all files that had been closed. Posted all out going mail, went to the post office, picked up daily mail, sorted and distributed to the various office personnel. Answered incoming calls for the Child Support section and as needed for the District Attorneys Office and transferred calls to the appropriate personnel. Assisted District Attorney�s staff with the filing case records and other office duties as needed. 10/95 - Present Nye County Law Librarian P.O. Box 153 101 Radar Road Tonopah, Nevada 89049 Law Librarian for the County Law Library responsible for opening all incoming volumes and inserts and placing them on the appropriate shelves or in the proper volumes within the library. Processing all book invoices for payment and distributed the vouchers to the appropriate department for further processing. Assisting the general public with questions regarding locating information and making photo copies as requested.   8/91 � 7/95 Department of Justice - Records and Driver Control Bureau P.O. Box 201419 303 North Roberts Helena, Montana 59620-1419 Administrative Assistant III, (Supervisor of the Records and Driver Control Bureau) performing supervisor duties for four (4) years over eleven (11) employees, including evaluation and performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, assigned work duties, authorized leave requests, wrote position descriptions to upgrade the pay status of employees of the Department and signed bi-weekly time sheets. As the supervisor it was my responsibility to open and sort all the daily mail. All miscellaneous or non-routine correspondence was reviewed and the appropriate letter was drafted, referring to current Montana Law, Department Policy, Rules and Regulations, typed and signed with my signature. I worked with the Bureau Chief during and after legislative sessions in reviewing new legislation and determining how the new bills would affect the Department and wrote policy and procedure manuals to assist in training Department personnel. Documents were produced on an IBM 325T computer system using a PS/Value Point monitor utilizing word perfect with MS/DOS with an extra connection to a mainframe host computer system using CICS applications.   01/81 � 8/91 Department of Justice - Records and Driver Control Bureau P.O. Box 201419 303 North Roberts Helena, Montana 59620-1419 Administrative Assistant II, to the Bureau Chief for nine (9) years. Reviewed records and set up files; maintained individual records and files; typed legal documents in reference to Administrative Procedures, current Montana Law, Department Policy, Rules and Regulations, and typed form letters. This position required working knowledge of on-line update of IBM Computer System utilizing IBM 3275 CRT; and basic knowledge of Leading Edge Tele-video Word Processing system utilizing Word Perfect with MS/DOS and Macro. Prepared field procedural manual in accordance with current policy and procedures based on Montana law, Rules and Regulations, and trained field personnel in the use of the Driver Control System as outlined in the manual. Was responsible for monitoring field updating as it related to the department and verifying work for accuracy. Acted as receptionist able to handle up to 150 incoming/outgoing calls per day.   2/79 � 1/81 Montana Highway Patrol 303 North Roberts Helena, Montana 59620 Six months experience in logging and filing Accident Record Reports received from various law enforcement agencies throughout the state and from individuals involved in motor vehicle accidents. Was transferred to the Validation Unit where I handled all non-routine driver licenses, updated licenses returned from other states after residency changes, worked as back-up receptionist for main reception area handling up to four incoming lines and correctly transferring calls to four different agencies.   8/78 � 2/79 Bank of Montana 500 North Main Helena, Montana 59601 Assisted customers in banking transactions including cashing checks, deposits into checking or savings accounts and mortgage payments. Balanced till daily to assure that proper deposits were made and accurate change was given out. I take considerable pride in the quality of my work and am prepared to work long hours to meet whatever deadlines imposed.   Education: 1990 � 1995 Studied to become a First Response in order to do volunteer work with the Jefferson County Sheriff�s Department working on the Clancy Quick response Unit responding to Emergency Medical Calls. In 1991 I updated my training to EMT-Basic to further my knowledge in the medical field and to be more assistance to the ambulance crew upon their arrival. 1985 � 1991: Part-time home study program through International Correspondence School (ICS), Scranton, Pennsylvania. Studying Business Management. 1980 � 1982: Part-time student at the College of Great Falls, majoring in Criminal Justice with a Psychology minor. 1977 � 1978: Basic computer and Business at Montana State University. 1977: Graduated from Capital High School in Helena, Montana.
