Low-cost Pet Vaccines: Bring your cat or dog to the Jackson County Animal Shelter, 5595 S. Pacific Highway, Phoenix, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 17 to get them vaccinated. Little Dresses for Africa: A work day for the Little Dresses for Africa project, where volunteers join together to make little dresses out of pillow cases, will be from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 17, at the Ruch Library, 7919 Highway 238. The mission of Little Dresses for Africa is to provide relief to vulnerable children throughout the continent of Africa and beyond. All skill levels and abilities welcomed. Participants are encouraged to bring any of the following, if possible: scissors, thread, very gently used colorful pillowcases, seam binding, trim, and/or a sewing machine. Wildlife Presentation: John Jackson of Bugs-R-Us Educational Services will give a presentation “Siskiyou Mountian Wildlife,” at noon Saturday, March 17, at the Rogue River libarary, 412 E. Main St. Learn about the wildlife, geology, and rare plants of the Siskiyou Mountains. Jackson will discuss 12 different animals and share furs, pelts and feathers from a wolverine, lynx, spotted skunk, bald eagle, fisher and marten.
