Felony arrests Vehicle Theft — Travis Michael Sallas, 29, of the 1100 block of Stevens Street, Medford. Oregon State Police troopers arrested Sallas Friday on a felony charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He was later charged Friday in Jackson County Circuit Court with felony counts of first-degree criminal mischief, attempting to elude police in a vehicle, second-degree burglary, third-degree robbery and misdemeanor charges of possessing methamphetamine, hit-and-run, reckless driving, second-degree theft, harassment and fourth-degree assault consisting of domestic violence. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail Friday on $105,000 bail. Weapon Use — Israel Fonceca, 38, of the 600 block of Cherry Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Fonceca Friday on a felony charge of unlawful use of a weapon and misdemeanor charges of menacing, second-degree disorderly conduct and possessing heroin. He was lodged in jail Friday on $250,000 bail. Drugs — Alaina Nicole Elo, 27, of the 3600 block of Old Stage Road, Central Point. On Friday, Elo made her initial appearance in Jackson County Circuit Court on felony charges of manufacturing, delivering and possessing methamphetamine and misdemeanor charges of second-degree forgery and possessing heroin. She was booked in the jail and released Friday on her own recognizance. Drugs — Michael Jonathan Barrett, 43, no known address. Phoenix police and Talent police arrested Barrett Friday on felony charges of possessing methamphetamine and heroin, and on misdemeanor charges of third-degree escape, attempt to elude police on foot, interfering with police, resisting arrest and misdemeanor warrants charging him with third-degree theft, second-degree criminal mischief and failing to appear in court on previous charges of delivering and possessing heroin, delivering and possessing meth, felon in possession of a restricted weapon, attempt to elude police on foot and interfering with police. He was lodged in jail Friday on $140,000 bail. Sex Abuse — Timothy Dean Diaz, 25, no known address. Medford police arrested Diaz Friday on felony charges of first- and second-degree sexual abuse, second-degree rape and on an Arizona fugitive warrant. He was lodged in jail Friday without bail. Crime reports Theft — 2400 block of Crater Lake Highway, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen iPhone 8 Plus in a black case at 1:59 p.m. Thursday. The loss was valued at $920. Theft — 700 block of Cardley Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen smartphone in a clear case at 4:53 p.m. Thursday. The loss was valued at $770. Theft — 1600 block of Spring Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen pound of medical marijuana at 7:25 p.m. Thursday. No value was reported. Burglary — 1200 block of Mira Mar Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of burglary to a business at 6:40 a.m. Friday. A cash register was reported stolen. The loss and damage to a wooden patio door and glass panes was valued at $700. Theft — 3500 block of North Pacific Highway, Medford. Medford police took a report of motor vehicle theft at 8:59 a.m. Friday. Inside the vehicle was a pool cue valued at $200. Theft — 1000 block of Morrow Road, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen cell phone inside a pink glitter case at 11:07 a.m. Friday. The loss was valued at $650. Theft — 700 block of Rossanley Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report of stolen business mail at 11:32 a.m. Friday.
