KLAMATH UNION: Pelicans will ride their four thoroughbreds — Lauren Jespersen, Kevin Pellegrino, Zach Tucker and Jon Fay — to a second straight district title. 2. SOUTH MEDFORD: Sprinter Jonathan Klenke will be a big favorite to repeat in the 100 and 200 and his jet-like speed will lead the Panthers to victory in the 4x100 relay. 3. GRANTS PASS: Kory Mahr has the potential to single-handedly score 30 points, and the Cavemen always seem to perform their best at the district meet. 4. ROSEBURG: Middle distance runner Adam Wadsworth and hurdler Nick Trowbridge lead the Indians, who also return three members of their 4x100 and 4x400 relays. 5. NORTH MEDFORD: David Faaeteete is the favorite in the shot put and discus, but the Black Tornado faces a rebuilding year. 6. CRATER: Hurdler Jason James could emerge as a double winner for the Comets, but they lack firepower in most other events. 7. EAGLE POINT: Eagles will score a lot of points in the pole vault and could emerge in the throws, but sprinter Steve Burke needs more help on the track. 8. ASHLAND: Jeff Olsen and David Ricardson fuel a strong distance corps, but Grizzlies will struggle elsewhere.
