Ashland Zen Center The temple, at 740 Tolman Creek Road, Ashland, will offer an introduction to Zen meditation at 6:20 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19. Center for Spiritual Living Rogue Valley The center will meet at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 16, at Unity of Medford, 540 N. Holly St. The Rev. Kimberly Hawkins will give a message titled “The ‘T’ Word.” Music will be provided by Alexa Ehrlich and Lauren James. Youth and teen programs will be at 10:30 a.m. Pre-service meditation is at 10 a.m. A contemplative meditation and prayer service with Hawkins and Eric Alan, author of “ Grateful by Nature,” will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21. Second St., Ashland, will hold a Celtic Evensong service with Holy Communion at 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 16. The Rev. Janell Monk will lead the service and the Rev. Meredith Pech will offer a reflection for the evening. Meditative Celtic music for Evensong is composed and played by Jodi French and sung by cantors Shelly Cox-Thornhill and Jen Matsuura. Doors open at 6:15 p.m. for meditation, with quiet Celtic music provided by harpist Kathleen Paige at 6:30 p.m. Masks are required, vaccination strongly encouraged.
